Around the world in 90 minutes – is probably what Jules Verne would call Geoskop, if he were still alive and knew about Bioskop. Geoskop is the result of our collective wish to explore and share international cinema, expanding our horizon beyond the usual geography of movie productions. It sounds very pretentious, but we have a colored-coded map that makes it fun.
Our first stop around the world is Mexico, which we will explore through Issa Lopez’ ”TIGERS ARE NOT AFRAID” (2017) – a dark urban thriller with supernatural elements set against the real-world violence of Mexican ganglands, featuring the best performances from child actors you’ll ever see.
To make this cinematic journey even smoother, we will be serving Margueritas on an open-donation basis. ¡Órale, ven que va a estar bien chingón!
