Pierced with nails, wrapped in wire, drowned up to the trunk in cement, strangled with lights, transformed into decorative props for chic cafés. While still alive, they are mutilated in order to become concrete pillars. Today, the hanging of information boards takes the place of the leaves they once bore.
They are a silent reproach of our ignorance, of our lack of respect toward a living organism.
